Kwekwe Sports Arena will host the Trabablas 3 International Boxing Tournament this Friday, with boxers from five African countries expected to feature in the competition.
The tournament, presented by the Charles Manyuchi Boxing Academy, is scheduled to get underway at 3pm on 25 September bringing together boxers from Zimbabwe and visiting fighters from South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Tanzania.
The event is expected to provide a platform for boxers from across the region to compete in an international tournament while giving local boxing enthusiasts an opportunity to watch the sport at home.
Organisers are using the slogan, “Witness. Support. One Ring. One Nation. One Champion.”
General admission has been pegged at US$5, while VIP tickets will cost US$10 and VVIP tickets US$20.
The tournament is part of the activities seeking to promote boxing and provide competitive opportunities for fighters in the region.
With Kwekwe hosting the international field, attention will be on the performances of the participating boxers when the tournament gets underway at Kwekwe Sports Arena.
