Redcliff Municipality has approved a US$16 per-term building levy for parents at RJ Davies Primary School for the third term of 2026 and first term of 2027.
Presenting the Housing Committee report during a full council meeting, committee vice chairperson Cllr Locardia Mkwapuna said the school had applied for approval of the levy.
“RJ Davies Primary School be authorised to levy parents $16 per term for 3rd Term 2026 and 1st Term 2027,” said Cllr Mkwapuna while presenting the committee’s recommendations.
She said the funds should be used specifically for the school’s building project.
“That the funds should be strictly used for the building project only,” Cllr Mkwapuna said.
Council subsequently adopted the recommendation, allowing the school to collect the levy for the two specified terms.
