ZANU-PF members have been urged to mobilise support for Amendment Bill No. 3.

Speaking during the party’s feedback meeting in Amaveni, Ward 8 Cllr Edumakomborero Mlambo said party structures should take a leading role in encouraging citizens to back the proposed constitutional changes.

Mlambo said the Bill, which proposes changes including extending the terms of office for the President and Parliament, requires support from party members at grassroots level.

He added that President Emmerson Mnangagwa should be given time to continue implementing government development programmes under the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and Vision 2030.

“The party’s executive members must be in the forefront to engage communities and explain the importance of supporting Amendment Bill No. 3. Everyone has a role to play in ensuring the country achieves its development goals,” said Mlambo.
