Acting Kwekwe District Development Coordinator Thomas Shava has commended the Municipality of Redcliff for maintaining order during its full council meetings and urged the local authority to continue upholding high standards in service delivery.

Addressing councillors and officials during a full council meeting, Shava expressed appreciation for what he described as discipline and order in the conduct of council business.

“I would like to express my gratitude at the manner in which these meetings are being held at Redcliff,” Shava said. “All the other councils we witness chaos and disorder but with Redcliff there is high standards of discipline and order.”

He encouraged the local authority to sustain its performance, particularly in delivery of services and to align its work with national directives.

“Let’s continue to maintain our high standards in terms of service delivery. Let’s continue to work, let’s continue to recognise the call to action by His Excellency. Maintain His directives,” Shava said.

Shava also urged councillors and management to adhere to minimum service delivery requirements in executing their duties.

“I would like also maybe to urge us all to maintain the minimum service delivery requirements as we execute our duties, as we deliver our services,” he said.

He added that Redcliff had built a reputation for excellence in service delivery and encouraged the council to safeguard that standing.

“Your Worship and TC, as Redcliff, I know you’ve got a reputation of excellence in our service delivery,” Shava said.
