Open letter to Chief Superintendent Ison Chapeta

Dear Chief Superintendent Ison Chapeta,

We, the community of Kwekwe, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to you and the entire Kwekwe Police Department for your tireless efforts in restoring order and ensuring public safety in our area.

Your leadership and vision has been instrumental in driving the police department’s initiatives to combat violent crimes, including armed robberies, and promote a safer community.

Your proactive approach has led to a significant reduction in crime rates, and we are particularly grateful for the crackdown on violent crimes, where your team has arrested several suspects and seized fake guns, pellet guns, and other dangerous weapons used in these crimes.

The prohibition order on carrying dangerous weapons, such as machetes, knobkerries, swords, and knives, has also been a significant step in promoting public safety and reducing violent incidents.

Furthermore, we appreciate your department’s efforts in curbing the use and distribution of dangerous drugs, including mbanje (marijuana), mutoriro, and other substances that have been a menace to our community, especially in areas like Mbizo 15 and 7.

Your team’s dedication to ridding our neighbourhoods of these illicit activities has not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for the positive impact this has had on the lives of many residents.

We also want to commend your emphasis on community support and collaboration, which has helped build trust and foster a sense of partnership between the police and the public.

This approach has been instrumental in ensuring that your efforts are effective and sustainable.

We would like to thank you for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to serving the community.

Your leadership has made a significant impact on the safety and well-being of Kwekwe residents, and we are grateful for your service.

Once again, we express our sincere gratitude to you and the entire Kwekwe Police Department for your efforts in keeping our community safe.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Norman Mwale [The PenPusher]

Kwekwe community.
