Kwekwe based jazz artist, Kanizios Msonza has achieved a remarkable milestone with the release of his tenth career afro-rhythm track titled Musopero.
This latest offering is a testament to Msonza’s dedication to his craft and passion for creating music that transcends borders and genres.
With “Musopero”, Msonza continues to push the boundaries of Afro-rhythm music, blending traditional African sounds with modern jazz elements. The song features Msonza’s soulful saxophone melodies, intricate rhythms and uplifting energy.
“I’m thrilled to share ‘Musopero’ with the world,” Msonza said.
“This song tells the story of a man who is neglecting his family due to worldly desires. He is chasing after different women, leaving his children to struggle. This song serves as a warning, offering advise to men change their behaviour.
“I wrote this song unexpectedly while filming my music video. Instead of focusing on the video, inspiration struck and the song was born. That is the beauty of art, creative diversity can strike at any moment.
“Be patient, 2025 is going to be an exciting year, with lots more to come, this year we are promising great music,” said Msonza aka Kanimusic.
Msonza’s musical journey spans over a decade, during which he has released numerous acclaimed sigle tracks and albums and also collaborated with international artists. His music has been praised for its unique blend of traditional and modern elements and for its ability to evoke emotions and inspire listeners.
The song is now available on various music streaming platforms and fans can look forward to experiencing Msonza’s live performances in the coming months.
The track was recorded at Heartland studios in Hatfield, Harare and was produced by Blessing Masanga. Welly played the lead guitar while Thulani was on the saxophone. Kanimusic stable is managed by Kanizios’s twin brother Clopas Msonza.
