Lunapark has launched a two-week “Chandokupisa” promotion aimed at thanking Kwekwe residents for supporting the recreational facility, with visitors set to receive free ride tickets under a special offer running from July 4 to July 19.

Speaking in an interview, Lunapark Managing Director Witness Chiota said the promotion was designed as a gesture of appreciation to customers while encouraging families, schools and surrounding communities to visit the park during the school holiday period.

He said schools were also invited to take advantage of the promotion after learners completed their mid-year and final examinations.

“Our promotion is a way of thanking our clients, including parents and guardians who bring their children to the park. It is also our way of acknowledging the continued support we have received from the people of Kwekwe,” said Chiota.

Under the promotion, visitors who buy four ride tickets will receive one free ticket, while those who buy eight tickets will receive two free tickets. Customers purchasing 10 tickets will receive three free tickets.

Chiota said entry to the park remains free, with visitors only paying for the rides they choose to use. He added that the facility accepts multiple payment methods, including EcoCash, OneMoney, Innbucks, bank cards and cash.

Located at Newtown Park in Kwekwe, the amusement park offers a range of attractions for both children and adults.

Chiota said the attractions include a roller coaster, flying chairs, quad bikes, trains, boats, dragons, slides and a virtual reality experience for visitors seeking a less physically demanding activity. A confectionery stand selling candy floss, toffee apples and toys is also available.

He encouraged families to make use of the remaining weeks of the promotion as an opportunity to spend time together during the school holidays.
