Kwekwe’s town clerk, Dr. Lucia Mkandla, and mayor, Cllr. Albert Zinhanga, have made headlines with their outstanding achievements.
Dr. Mkandla took home the prestigious 2024 President Emmerson Mnangagwa Award for Best Town Clerk in the country, a testament to her exceptional leadership and dedication to service delivery.
Meanwhile, Mayor Zinhanga secured the first runner-up position in the Mayors’ Category for the second consecutive year, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in public service.
This recognition comes on the heels of the City of Kwekwe receiving the Platinum Customer of the Year Award, with Mayor Zinhanga also being honoured as the Platinum Pro Development Leader of the Year at the Megafest National Business Awards.
These awards underscore the government’s efforts to acknowledge and encourage outstanding performances by public officials, ultimately driving improved service delivery and community development.
