Build It Hardware director Tinashe Manzungu has described the 2025 Kwekwe Expo exhibition as world-class, saying the event demonstrates the city’s growing potential as a centre for innovation, enterprise, and collaboration.

Manzungu made the remarks while officially opening the 2025 Kwekwe Expo at Kwekwe Queens Sports Club on Thursday.

The annual exhibition has attracted a wide range of exhibitors, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), private companies, public institutions, non-governmental organisations, and schools.

“I am honoured to officiate at this year’s Expo and to see such diversity among exhibitors,” said Manzungu. “From SMEs to private companies, public offices, and even schoolchildren showcasing their talent — this speaks volumes about Kwekwe’s economic vibrancy and community spirit.”

He commended the organisers for creating a platform that bridges business, government, and civic organisations, noting that such events were essential for promoting sustainable economic growth and innovation.

“When we talk about economic development, you cannot survive without the network of people represented here,” Manzungu said. “What I have seen in Kwekwe over this Expo is truly world-class.”

He praised the quality of the exhibition stands and the professionalism of exhibitors, saying the event went beyond product display to include meaningful knowledge exchange.

“What impressed me most was that exhibitors were not just sharing information — they were imparting knowledge that adds value to business,” he said. “This level of engagement reflects a mature business community ready to drive development.”

Manzungu urged exhibitors and local businesses to build on the momentum created by the Expo to strengthen their brands and contribute to Kwekwe’s industrial and commercial revival.

“To the exhibitors, I say — continue building your companies and adding value to the local economy. The Kwekwe Expo has shown that our businesses are capable of competing at global standards,” he said.

The 2025 edition of the Kwekwe Expo has drawn more than 50 exhibitors and attracted hundreds of visitors during its three-day run, which ended on 4 October 2025.
