BancABC has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting community sport after pledging its partnership with Hardrock Football Club, with the bank urging players to deliver their best performances in the upcoming season.
Speaking at the club’s kit unveiling ceremony held at Goldridge College, the bank’s Head of Treasury McMillan Usaiwevhu said the financial institution was proud to be part of the team’s journey in the Premier Soccer League.
Usaiwevhu described the partnership as one rooted in community development, noting that football plays a key role in inspiring young people and bringing communities together.
“At BancABC, we believe in partnerships built on purpose. We believe in backing institutions that uplift communities, inspire young people, and create opportunity,” he said.
He added that the new kit symbolises more than a change of colours, but the ambition and belief of the club and the wider community.
Usaiwevhu challenged the players to represent the city with pride and commitment whenever they step onto the pitch.
“When you wear this jersey, you carry the pride of Kwekwe with you. Play with heart, play with integrity, and know that your community and partners believe in you,” he said.
The bank also acknowledged the role of supporters, saying their backing would be crucial to the team’s performance throughout the season.
Hardrock FC, recently promoted to the top flight, unveiled the new kit as part of preparations for their debut campaign, with club officials expressing optimism that corporate partnerships will strengthen their competitiveness on and off the field.
The ceremony drew club leadership, players and supporters, signalling growing momentum behind the team as it embarks on its Premier Soccer League journey.
