The City of Kadoma has partnered with First Mutual Medical to host a Health and Wellness Day aimed at promoting early disease detection and improving employee well-being.

In a notice, Acting Human Resources and Administration Manager Tatenda Mutenda said the programme will be held on Friday, 15 May 2026, at Town House from 10am to 4pm.

First Mutual Medical is expected to provide a range of on-site screening services for council employees. These include body mass index (BMI) assessments, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, as well as dental and optical screenings.

Prostate cancer screening will also be offered.

Kadoma City Council Communications Manager Walter Ndlovu said the initiative reflects the local authority’s commitment to safeguarding employee health through preventive care and timely medical assessments.

He said heads of departments have been instructed to release staff in phases to allow participation while maintaining normal service delivery.

The Health and Wellness Day is expected to provide employees with access to essential health services and encourage a culture of proactive health management within the council.
